Welcome!

Fabrizio Salon & Spa first opened its doors in May 1993 in the Trolley Square area of Wilmington. Its original location was located just a 1/2 block away in the Rockford Shops Shopping Center next door to Toscana Restaurant. In March 1999, Fabrizio Salon & Spa moved to its present location of 1604 West 16th Street; a beautifully remodeled 2-story townhouse built in 1892. Eight long months went into the renovation project to house the first-floor salon and second-floor day spa with such amenities as original hardwood flooring in the styling area, high-tech low voltage cable lighting, exposed original beams in the ceilings, and ceramic and Indian Slate tile throughout the day spa, salon and manicuring area.

Its founder, Fabrizio Galieti, set out all the way from Rome, Italy to create his vision. You could say that hair is in Fabrizio Galieti's blood. His lineage includes a long list of aunts, uncles, brothers, and a mother all with roots in the beauty industry. And very prominent roots to say the least! Most notable is the salon owned by Fabrizio's aunt & uncle that is situated on the very street leading up to the Spanish Steps in Rome (Via Condotti). Shops such as Gucci, Fendi & Salvatore Ferragamo, just to name a few, can be found on this street which is comparable to Madison Avenue in New York City.

Fabrizio Galieti

Italian stars such as Sophia Loren & Milva, an Italian songstress, frequented their salon. This is where Fabrizio began his formal career as a hair stylist almost a quarter of a century ago. From then it was on to Milan where he worked in salons such as Futura, Jean Louie David, and Jacques Dessange. It was in Milan that he gained the exposure to work the fashion runways of Paris during their peak seasons in the spring. Craving independence, recognition and opportunity, Fabrizio then ventured to America or, more specifically, Wilmington, Del., to spread his unique experience and passion about hairstyling.
